Download I386 Windows Xp Professional
I have downloaded from Microsoft TECHNET the official SP3 Technet ISO. Jannat Tv Serial Dd Metro. (Not RC the full RTM).
I integrated the included EXE in the downloaded ISO it into an INSTALL CD of SP2 PRO (successful) and then burned back to a CD. I have run the XP Pro SP3 install off the new media and it has got to the 2nd phase (passed the text-based install) and has asked for the file 'asms' on the Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 CD! What is this and why?
Step 4 - Updating The Windows Share Slipstreaming the Microsoft Rollup Update Step 5 - Create New Folder and Copy Previously Slipstreamed CD Step 6 - Download and Extract the Update Rollup Step 7 - Create Svcpack Directory Step 8 - Modify Files in the I386 Directory of C: XP Step 9 - Modify the Svcpack.inf.
Integration was successful. CD is readable and verified burn?!
Just says in the dialog box the message above with D: i386 Please help! Evening Guy did you look at this kb from Microsoft? My guess would be the speed at which you burned the cd dvd might have been too fast. What rate did you burn? Also verification was checked by guessing what you stated readable and verified burn.
Did you use the official Microsoft method? *have to ask* Which method to integrate. I would attempt to see if the methods described in the NTFS mentioned towards the end of the kb helps you out. Other wise you may have to slow down your burning speed. I could be wrong here, but dont know your burning speed as I mentioned.
Which media are you using? At least one recommended by your cd dvd burning hardware correct?
Also look here former Microsoft support person, hints at a few things to look at Hope this helps you. _________________ Keith.
